With the tides so low I went around to Primbee today with the dog and walked down to the
paddle wheel boat and out to the marker bouy, around 30cms deep that far out, picked up
two old fish traps and dragged them to shore and also a 30x60cm log (pier offcut) attached
a rope and dragged that in, so that's three less obstacles for us to worry about. With the water
so low these things are sitting out of the water and everyone sails well inside that marker.

Thanks that is 3 less disaters waiting to trap us all. There has been some serious board damage in these areas with lucky escapes from injury to the sailors

Great stuff! Can anyone mark the logs that are between the paddleboat and the ones that were removed? They sound a danger..

Well done Terry! I've been planning to do another SUP mission the next day I'm free. I know there have been some GPS positions taken so if anyone has them post them up and I'll can try to find them.

Another wander in the lake today, went from the first marker to down past the paddle boat, good seeing conditions
and only 25cm of water. A couple of branches down near the marker but around that area are some hard packed
sandbanks a bit higher than the mud and weed, could this be what some are hitting? Hey Stu, I can be your TA.

Good stuff Terry! Sounds like a plan. I'll let you know when I get a day. As for the sand bumps, the latest 2015 google images show a lot of them really clearly. Specially the long one at Windang that I think catches everyone out. Its worth a study (see if you can spot the plane). I also clipped another one down there last Wednesday and had a small moment

I wouldn't worry to much Sue. When the water level is up they're all ok to sail over apart from the big long one, although I still clench a little when I see sand coming up But! on low tide go around them just to be safe
