From later in the day when the wind had died down to a more sedate 30kt average...

Would be nice to have more of those days on weekends.

Thanks for posting the pics Sparky....really hard to take photos of your self when you're on the water. Do you have any more with the green sail?

No worries. I was knackered after 4 hours on the water so was happy to spectate for a bit. Emailing you the photos now.

Nice photos! Glad you didn't get any in the massive lulls when I was sinking and drifting towards the rocks...

Oh to be bale to jump like that.. I used to at least get a bit of height..Looks hary gybing material!

I managed to get down there early, from 9 till 12. Yes it was 30- 40kts and I've never downhauled my 4.3 sail so much. The waves were breaking in the middle of the bay. Nice ramps.
I stayed in close to shore as I was on my own. The boys from the fire brigade saw me gybing close to the rocks and came running down thinking I needed some help, don't know what they could do. Its nice to know someone was watching though.
A few guys came down a bit later, a qld visitor had a great blast on his 4.7 till he blew a panel.

Hey Anthony was that you on the hot sails, nice jump.

Yep, 4.2 was a bit more comfortable by then. had a few close moments with the rocks in the lulls too. Must have been a bit crazy in the morning!

Great photos- nice to get some strong winds at last

How i miss La Perouse, days like that;excellent.Mindyou you look closer to Kurnell in some of those shots
