I think I heard the other day that they've started charging for parking at the Middle Creek area on Narrabeen lake. Anyone know if this is correct? And if so, is it much?

I suppose that's what happens when it's transformed from a dirt area to a 'proper' car park with facilities.

Yep, Warringah council has installed "Park & Display" machines at Middle Creek reserve (Brooky Bobs) and Jamieson Park.
It has taken them ages since stuffing, sorry, doing up Middle Creek reserve. They are working on completing the cycle/walkway all the way around the lake.
I think its about $4 for the first hour then 2 or 3 dollars each after that. Probably more knowing a council!!!!
Bilarong Reserve on the northern side (Pittwater council) has been pay for years now.
At least it will stop the back packers staying indefinitely and leaving their rubbish and washing lying around. Also might be able to get a park of a summer weekend too.

It's $6 per hour !!!!! Double Pittwater counci fee. Strange how they do up a car park and then only supply 1/3 the parking that used to be there, funny way off making money of car parking.

I can be an okay place to sail in a NE seabreeze but I'm not sailing there if I have to pay $6 an hour for the privilege.

Yeah but if you live on the North Shore, it'll cost twice the $$ in petrol to go South.
It's an OK 'deal' if you spend the day, but not for an hour's or two sailing there.
The gov't are not exacting fair fee - they're just maximising revenue.

According to the Pittwater Council website a resident can purchase 3 additional passes at the permit price.
Not sure about non residents. Valid Sept-Aug.

Maybe around $70 I guess. Depends how much you are at the Lake to get value??

Next they will grant Kerry Packer to build a giant skyscraper-casino in the middle of the lake. Business is business.....

No wonmder we all swap extra sticker between Warringah and Pittwater, such a rip off!!!!!!
At Middle Creek reserve we had approx 150 car parks, its now down to 49. More trailer and bus parking too, you couldnt get a bus in there anyway. Dumb arses!!!!
