Hi I've got a mate in Sydney who is getting into windsurfing. He's done a few lessons and has been successful at sailing out and back on windsup gear.
He is now considering gear. Not sure what type of sailing he wants to do but is limited by a knee replacement and age - no pounding!
Before he commits money to gear I recon he would enjoy the ethos of one design. Discussing racing and light wind sailing seems to appeal to my mate
Anybody in Sydney want to give my mate a go on a one design or longboard and share the love?
Cheers Jeff
Depending where your friend is, he could try Narrabeen Lakes Sailing Club with a contact to the Windsurfer Class Captain (sailboard_captain@narrabeenlakessailingclub.com) for Saturday morning training or perhaps Georges River or Dobroyd Aquatic Club.

hi jirvin, wondering if your mate has had a chance to go for a sail yet? hopefully he's chased up some of AUS169's great suggestions. Dobroyd and Narrabeen Clubs both started Saturday morning training this weekend in Sydney. Otherwise we can help out. Even drive him to one of the clubs if it'll get him there, loan board.
