Since the DeSal gang has ruined Kyeemagh for NEer's, I was thinking of giving the pond another go this Saturday- havn't sailed up thataway for years.
Mobydisc mentioned some time ago that the parking is free at Middle Ck Reserve, is this still the case? If not how much coin do I need to bring?

BTW you should see how huge this laybarge is for the desal piping - its the same size as a small ocean liner! Won't be long till the whole area is out of bounds.

Its a couple of $$ to park there but its free further round right at the south end. Ive been sailing Nara quite alot recently and i have to admit for learning new moves ( ok just one the jibe ) its far better than botnay because there is no swell to speak of.

Was sailing south ramp yesterday at Kyeemagh. Still ok there and there was a fair few of us out in yesterdays southerly. I reckon it will be fine this weekend to sail there in a NEster to. Failing that there is always Wanda and Kurnell further round...

What's wrong with Ramsgate in a Nor Easter????? Better parking than Kyeemagh, less of a walk to the water, no stink boats...and it's all of less than 5 mins further down the road.

Def. not going to give up on the Bay - going to be in the Pond area on Saturday arvo - good chance to sail somewhere different.

Just wanted a heads up on the amount of coinage to take on Sat for the pond parking?

Ramesgate sounds like a good option might give it a go Sunday if the Boss and wind lords allow.

BTW Lee the swell makes it fun!

Gidday Dave,
Warringah council in all its wisdom (f*** all of that) has never replaced the ticket/pay station at Brookie Bobs, aka Elanora Heights Reserve or the western end.
Unless they re-install it this week, highly unlikely, then just drive in and park.
Lake Dangerous has got a lot shallower over the years so might be best to ask around where the shallow spots are.
Cheers,
Larko.

Thanks Grant
Was a simple question - took about 5 or 6 replies to get an answer.

To be fair, asking how much coin to take is more simple. It's not hard to have some cash in the pocket!

please please please let the wind 'thingies' be nice to us for Sat/Sun!!
I am so hanging for a sail and planning to do the South Ramp drive by, if it does not look so fun then move on and give Ramsgate a red hot go. Any others taking aim?

I've been so busy with business things that I haven't even had a chance to look at the forecast .
BOM is looking good for Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun. Dates are in in the diary, I'll be there if the forecast delivers.
