As we're a superstitious bunch, please DON'T MENTION forecasts until the end of the week ![]()
We're looking forward to seeing you all at Gerroa (if it's a NE'r). Sign on should be 10-11.
I think if you already are a member of a club already its $30, otherwise $50 (which includes insurance). $20 fir insurance is pretty good as I've seen Windsurfing NSW insurance premium for public liability and its over $10,000 if I remember correctly.
Cheers
Tim
Peto, Tim is correct. $50 for this event then $30 for subsequent events.
The $50 covers the insurance, BBQ, event entry and the t-shirt (it's worth it just for the tee
).
Hopefully see you there.
Ben
Yeah no worries it is good prices. If I sailed in the Nationals this year am I covered as a club member?
Hi Peto, I don't think so as the Period of Insurance for the various Windsurfing Associations in Australia runs from June to June. (i.e. you need the insurance which started on 30/6/2011).
Cheers,
Francois
Ben, if you guys need a place to host the BBQ at Gerroa I'm more then happy for you to have it at my place. it's is not big but it will do the job, not far from the beach and we can throw some movies up on the big screen in the shed and make a night of it.
PM me if your interested, if anyone else want's to stop by for a beer and a chat please feel free to PM me as well. If your hard up for accommodation and want to rollout a swag in my garage i've got a bit of room just let me know(limited space).
Looking forward to meeting you all...
Cheers jase.
Notice to competitors
Due to the current forecast, the competion will start at 11:00.
Please make sure you have signed on by 10:30 to give the judges time to rank heats and write up score sheets.
You must be ready to compete - we can't wait.
Check white board in the carpark for latest details.
See you all there!
Do these comps only run for a single day? And if there is good wind, meaning the comp actually starts at 11, will the comp be over early? Ergo freesailing in the arvo??
If we have a totally smooth running comp (eg no big lulls) and an average number of sailors then it should be wrapped up with plenty of time for freesailing late afternoon/early evening.
The idea is to always get the full comp in when there is wind - rather than relying on two days, when Sunday might not be as good.
Historically when we get a result on a Saturday, we have had an "all in" expression session on the Sunday with judges on the water (like Merimbula). Accolades go to biggest jump, best wave, best wipeout etc.. but don't affect end of year results..
Ben,
I'm workn Sat/Sun all day but will come down for the presso. Can I still enter as I want to be insured and a need a new T shirt?
Regards,
Dean
Hi Dean,
NSWWA won't turn away any financial members - it also covers off the cost of the BBQ and you get the t-shirt!
See you in Gerroa - shame you can't compete.
Just as an FYI, the NSWWA members will be able to demo a HEAP LOAD of 2012 gear thanks to our excellent Event Sponsor - Windsurf 'n Snow!!! Check out what they'll have at Gerroa for the weekend:
JP 99l Single Thruster / 84l FreeStyleWave
Neil Pryde 4.5Fly2 / 5.1Fly2 / 5.4Atlas / 5.8Atlas
Fanatic 81l Quad
North 5.0 Hero / 5.4 ID
Keep an eye out for Anne* as she'll be the one guarding the gear.
*Anne will be bringing all this gear down and will need probably need to use some of it in her heat, so make sure you give it back when the Ladies heats are on! And give her a hand carrying it all back to her car
Thanks!
