Thats just bollox. I didnt "book" a big car this weekend - was just going to bring the little one. Now I have to try to get both boards and respective rigs onto the roof, or into the car!!!
AAARrrrrrrggggghhhhhhhh
AND - for that Steve I will find a way to get everything onto the car, even if I have to duct tape a board to the side.
Remember...
Saw 4 sails out there practicing yesterday arvo.
Looked like they were having a blast and covering some serious ground.

So - whos is doing secret training other then Brett and Sam!
Probably Sean (because he needs it) and ?
Additional Big Questions are:
Will anyone be trying a Half Rick ? or a full rick?
Will Sean's gear turn up in time for Heat 1? Lets hope not : )
Will Sam P use the permanent marker yet again?
Any new faces on the scene?
How will Tristian fare on 2 laps?
How will Bruce fare on 2 laps?
Will anyone try a half nelson? (Does anyone remember what a half nelson is?)
Will Byron blame his catapults on a dolphin yet again?
Pretty sure I saw Sean out there... AUS1111 ?
Had a little down wind sprint with him even though he was carrying an extra 4 or 5 square metres of sail ![]()
Sean,
I can loan you the top section of an X9 580, a Drake fin, and a universal joint if that is any help.![]()

Please Chris, less of the show lyrics.
Are you going to give us a blast of West Side Story as you round the top mark this weekend?
There was no Formula races completed.
Saturday was very wet, and Very Very variable. But when it was windy it was on bigtime. Off the beach slalom was the call.
A number of races were run, with varying success. One race started well, but there was a big raftup at the outside mark. Another race started in little wind and got progressively worse from there. Another started in light stuff and the wind increased. Variable indeed!
Sunday was light, too light. A few formula races were started but the wind crapped out within seconds of the starting whistle. A number of times the only person to get off the line was Sean O'Brien and he had to suffer the indignity of having the race called off by his father!
John O'Brien persisted for a long time and tried valiently to get even one race in, but it was not to be.
And just to wrap things up it started to pour with rain again as everyone returned to the beach.
I expect results will be on storm-riders in a few days, but I doubt they will be indicitive of form for the season ahead.

Just got back from Hawks Nest (stayed and extra day, and sailed all day in perfect 15knots - typical huh!)
Congrats to Byron McIlveen AUS-747 on winning heat 1...results etc soon...cheers
yeah, took me a while to get the results up. I had to confirm a couple of guys divisions as it had a huge effect on who won the event. Biggest issue was that I ended up winning after amendments..... there are some photos up also, but none of the racing on Saturday as it was just too wet to even consider getting a camera out of its bag....
