Great day! I was sceptical especially the location with a NE forecast but it was fun..I got a friend who hadnt sailed since the 80's to come along & have a go & he was pleasantly suprised to find he picked it easily..he wanted more wind!
1st time in 20 years Ive been able to cruise along on a beginners board & talk to someone as I sailed.. very pleasant. Also good to practise gybes & my messy tacks..Took my own board out in the gusty 15kt NE after for a short sail..I still like my 'short board'!
( 125ltres)
Very well set up with heaps boards & rigs..I dont think the shorter boards got much of a workout due to the iffy wind in close.
Hot, Hot, Hot.
5 races in 2days, including 3 on Sunday in Perfect 15-20knot NE.
Results, report and photos will be up asap on www.storm-riders.com.au
John's a LUMBERJACK and he's OK, he sleeps all night and he works all day,
I cut down trees, I eat my lunch, I go to the lavat'ry, On
Wednesdays I go shopping, And have buttered scones for tea, I cut down
trees, I skip and jump, I love to press wild flow'rs, I put on women's
clothing,
And hang around in bars, I cut down trees, I wear high heels,
Suspenders and a bra,
I wish I'd been a girlie, Just like my dear papar.
Settle down gents.
I admit to having some luck go my way in a couple of races on the weekend. It was great to be at the pointy end of the FE+ fleet for a change.
The lumberjack workout must have cleared out the cobwebs alright.

Rick and I were in the rubber ducky boat, remi came screaming past at Warp speed.
Rick & i started heckling remi, and successfully distracted remi enough to get a splash. ![]()
I believe Rick's bad command of the french language was the main cause of the distraction.
