This weekend will see the second heat of NSW Windsurfing Series 2010-11 at Huskisson, Jervis Bay. Forecast is looking good for Formula racing both Sat and Sunday.
Jervis is certainly one of the most amazing places to sail and never fails to provide challenging racing conditions for all. And that is not taking dolphins or turtles into account ;-)
Details of the series are on http://www.storm-riders.com.au
Leading the series after Heat 1 is Sam Parker (of WindSurfnSnow fame), closely followed by Byron McIllveen and Brett Morris. Reigning series champion Steven Floyd is languishing in 5th spot and will be looking to put the world order back to rights this weekend.
In the FE+ Division Tim Ford has a commanding lead over his bitter rivals from Marmong and will be looking to consolidate his position (his words not mine ;-) ). The FE+ Fleet (Race 1 lap of the full course instead of 2) continues to grow and welcomes any newcomers that want to try their hands at Formula racing.
In the Slalom Series Sam Parker leads, and with the current wind forecast will not have to worry too much about any challenges this weekend.

just noticed this much more helpful post than mine...
Please remember to join a club and prepay for the series on line if possible.

I note that there is no mention of the Sydney rivals?....That's it, the gloves are off!
Work commitments Saturday, but that's OK,.......I'll only need the Sunday!![]()
Heat 2 is over...5 races in a mixture of conditions...
Full results and report will be up tonight.... www.storm-riders.com.au
Sam Parker (AUS-3) won the Open by clinching the last race. Congratulations.
FE+ had 4 different winners from 5 races. (Tim Ford won I believe?).
Heat 3 will be at Lake Macquarie 13-14Nov10.
Special thanks to Nick Nelson for doing an amazing job of running the racing in very testing conditions....Cheers
Great weekend! Thanks to John Bear for leaving early and being the wind sacrifice!
