NSW Raceboard Series - Round 4

The series starts up again this coming Saturday at a new (series) venue - St George Sailing Club - a long time supporter of raceboarding in NSW. The address is Riverside Drive, Sans Souci. (NOT Georges River 16ft Sailing Club)

The intention is to conduct 3 races, with the first due to start at 1:50pm. Note that briefing will be at 1pm. Both these times vary what is written in the series NOR. We will be sailing with the dinghies, although starting as a separate fleet. This round also counts for the Interclub Trophy.

After 3 rounds the top 3 places are held by;

James Grunfelder, Doug McLean & Rhys Herbert


Also note that the remaining rounds of the series after this one are;

Round 5 : Feb 13/14: Huskisson, Jervis Bay (2 days) - with the Formula crew.
Round 6 : Mar 12: Lake Illawarra (1 day) NOTE CHANGE OF DATE.

A great day's racing was held at the STGSC with winds from the S to SE. Three races were held amongst the dinghies and the general Botany Bay traffic, making for exciting racing. Fortunately we were off the water and all packed up before a fierce 40 knot storm blew through!
Close racing was the order of the day with the usual suspects at the front of the fleet. Well done to James, Doug and Rhys for taking the "silverware" , and to Ben for his first regatta after returning from a year in the US.

A big thanks to the race crew at St George for looking after us. We'll be back!
