The championship is at Sanctuary Point on the weekend of December 6th and 7th
The event incorporates the interclub and round 2 of the NSW Series.
This regatta is traditionally one of the most keenly fought events and certainly well attended. The Sanctuary Point waters are ideal for raceboarding and good winds are common. Early forecasts show a solid southerly wind stream.
Form sailor would have to be Richie Reynolds from Sydney, fresh from an excellent Worlds campaign and a winning regatta in Brisbane at the Masters games. Other sailors in contention are John Doolan who has jumped to the leading pack with a purchase of new board and sail, Rhys Herbert particularly if it is windy, James Grunfelder, always at or near the front, and defending champ Glen Morrell.
Dobroyd Aquatic Club is the current holder of the interclub trophy.
Sailor's briefing is at 10:30am on Saturday.

Looking forward to getting back to Sanctuary point such a great place to sail. DAC is keen to hang on to that great trophy!!
What a great weekend, can't believe we got 9 races in over the weekend. The racing was fiercely contested all weekend and was great to see the lead changing numerous times through the races in the super shifty conditions.
Once again Sanctuary Point delivered!
. With stormy weather all around on Saturday it was almost a miracle to get the full quota of 5 races completed - 19 sailors racing in gusty/shift ENE winds up to 15 knots or so. Sunday was a different day with sunny skies and a light to moderate NE that threatened to build but never really. Getting 4 races done was great work by RO Nick , well assisted by Ron. Closely contested, tactical racing was a lot of fun.
The regatta was dominated by James Grunfelder, recording an impressive 6 wins and therefore being crowned this season's NSW Raceboard Champion![]()
A very tight contest for second place eventually went to Rhys Herbert from Marty Stone by a single point.
A big thanks to RO Nick Nelson and Ron Jarray for doing all the on-water stuff, and Neil Mckinlay for loaning out his boat. Thanks also to WindSurfnSnow for helping out with the prizes.
