G'Day all wanted feedback on holding a day at Peel st Aquatic club on a weekend in September . Suggested things to happen - BBQ, swap meet, arrange Demo boards/ sails / gear if company's are interested, get to meet other sailors who you only chat to on internet., maybe have a sail on the flat waters at PEELY ! Possible race or two depending on wind could change to land races (three legged, egg etc)
Anyway get back to me with any suggestions and if any interest and I'll start to arrange, or if no interest .Thanks all hope we all get some decent wind soon!
Great idea Frothster. Im keen and Im sure other Sydney sailors will be too.
Will try and get some new demo gear for trial or just to check out if no wind.
Gives us something to look forward to for spring!!
Cheers,
Larko.
Where is this. (Iron Cove) Nothing is coming up in Google search or maps. Sounds like a great idea though.
Great idea Frothie! Your on fire.. Do they need another team leader for the Marauders? ![]()
I'd like to make it..If you can order some wind on the day that will be even better..![]()

If we get enough sailors from a few teams we could make up a team challenge and a team for none GPS sailors, 1 set of challenges for wind conditions, and an out there set of challenges for land if the wind doesn't turn up?
I also thought we could get a representative from Seabreeze to have a chat about forecasted wind and help us all understand why they are so often off the Mark of what we actually get.
Also Matt D from Marauders found a unit that could be mounted at your favourite spot and and read the wind and send you a text on conditions ! That's a sick idea but costs a bit so maybe a good topic?
Good idea David. Perhaps have it running over a month so we can pick the best weekend for it, ie a NE seabreeze. Here is a video of the place to give those who have not been there an idea of what its like. As you can see the water is dead flat. A weed fin is mandatory and a Delta is preferable.
Sounds like a great idea Froth. Im in!Perfect location for windsurfing and maybe a game of footy or some mud wrestling haaaa. We should all have a think about some idea's and post. Keef, Bushy and the rest of the crew south of Sydney should also consider. MT you stay at home. Just kidding!
Sick idea Froth
Go Marauders!!!!
Dean 424, Peel St in Toukley Central Coast NSW, It's a great spot,.
Thanks Frothie, found it. Sailed Canton once last year.

The lakes up heaps compared to that. You can launch where the sand shows there and last time my 38cm fin didn't touch the bottom about 6 ' out from there.
Wow memories..That's the conditions I got my PB..If only the planets aligned more often!
Jordans boating centre demo trailer will be there , will have demo Ka sails, Hotsails Maui and Gun Sails as well as Patrik Slalom and Speed boards , looking forward to getting down for a run soon .
If the El Nino, little child, weather pattern is coming next spring, it could be a better spring and summer for NE seabreezes than we've had over the last few years.
That'd be great if you could come Mark!
One of the contests will be a team based challenge where one rider from a team has a ribbon tied to his boom and another team has to catch the ribbon. It will be time based.
Any team (including the none GPS TEAM) keen to have a crack at us Marauders are welcome to get involved. Let's see which team has the guy with the skills.
I also thought this could be an annual event with each area taking a turn to show off their spot? Feed back is welcome and maximum participation is only going to make this event work so come on you lot get behind it! Keep watching this space more challenges to be revealed?![]()
