This weekend sees the final heat of the NSW GPS series, on the waters of Lake Macquarie.
Our preferred day is Saturday 4th Feb, but we may reschedule to Sunday if Saturday's forecast looks bad. Final call will be made on Thursday night.
The location will be either Coal Point for a NE breeze or Marmong Point for a southerly.
Look forward to seeing you there!
Hi everyone, Saturday is looking like a good noreaster so we're going to lock in the event.
Thanks to Marmong members Nev and Mick, we'll have our boat on the water for any rescues. Our favourite photographer Mari Barrios is also coming up so might be able to fit some photos in between his own sailing.
Please be there for a briefing at 12 noon, so that we can be ready to sail once the wind fills in. Entry is $30 for adults or $10 for Juniors (18 or under). Please bring and wear a life jacket - we'll have some spares for those who don't have one.
Here's the location for those who haven't been there before:

Please park in the large gravel carpark at the top of the hill and save the trailer parks down near the water for the Boaties.
Don't forget to charge your GPS. See you Saturday!
looking forward to it.
The more people we have the better the spectacle for our sport.
So come along and enjoy each others company and have fun.
We may hopefully get some kids come along which would be a great learning experience for them, with many people more than happy to help develop any kid or adult that comes along.

Great turnout of nearly 20 sailors at coal point today. The wind teased us and was enough for a few to get on the water. But not quite enough to race.
We'll try again in 2 weeks time. Cheers ![]()
