Hi - any wavesailing spots around Mollymook area and prevailing wind direction early March? Or SUP action only?
Hi buddy, to avoid you hanging for a response I'll offer my two cents worth...
Whilst I'm not aware of notable wavesailing spots around Mollymook, Gerroa is only a 45 minute drive north that offers great wave riding. March however is not the best months for wind due to the north easterly sea breeze patterns dropping.
Hope this helps somewhat.
The stretch between Ulludulla and Bawley Point has a few places that work in NE and Southerlies. Last time I went was about 15 years ago mid winter. There was surf every day but wind was a bit fluky. I'd say don't expect anything. Gerroa is almost an 1 1/2 hours from Ulludulla. Only worth the drive if there is a strong NEer in combination with a decent Southerly swell forecast.I think this area is a bit undiscovered as far as Windsurfing is concerned because it's too far from Sydney for a day trip and when conditions are good most people don't go past Gerroa or Windang.
