I used to do laps around Pulbah from marmong on my raceboard when I was young and fit. And in a 20 knot southerly too lol. The long upwind grind was worth it for the reach home. The thing is my gear was a lot more reliable in those days. I'm not sure I trust my mast and boom to make it around Pulbah and back these days. If we could get someone to follow us around in the rescue boat I would feel a lot better so if we can manage the boat I'm definitely keen. A north easterly is probably the best breeze. If you take a wide enough route around the island you can stay in breeze all the way.
