Will be in Sydney for three weeks in January, (botany bay etc) will I be fine without a wetsuit in jan? What do people wear that time of year?

speedo's only
Boardies and a rash top is the most you will see any windsurfer in over that period. the rash top is mainly for sun protection.

if you are mainly used to sail in UK weather you will definitely be fine with boardies and a rashy. You can pick up a good rash top from most surf shops here in Sydney... or better pop into Windsurf and Snow and buy one of the Windwarrior blast shields. Keeps you save from the sun and you definitely won't get cold.
