G'day
I was up the coast on the weekend and had a look at Lake Munmorah. Where is the best place to sail from in a SE, SW or W?
Never sailed there before but if it's not to shallow and weedy hopefully there could be some safe speeding to be had.
Work has been a bit quite lately so im thinking i will sneak up there during the weekday if the green arrows are looking especially good (This is my first time on the forum, people who sail Narra Lake will know my van Desking Systems).
Gidday,
Munmorah is a great spot to sail in anything south but is very onshore (good if a breakdown occurs. It is also pretty weedy but once out a bit its OK.
Best spots to launch from are the grassy area near the scout hall and the other end of the bay from a little parking area right on the waters edge.
Look on Google Earth and you will spot it easy.
There a few of the local guys sailing there tomorrow and/or Wednesday. Just say hello and they will help out.
Hope you enjoy it!!
Cheers,
Larko.
