Hi team the last post was getting a little crowded so I thought I'd start a new one.

After two weeks of inactivity you must all be itching for another race.

The forecast is looking good for next Tuesday 9 December. NE 20-30knts, please pencil this in and I will lock it in on Sunday night if the forecast is still good.

Our race course is still accessible despite the pipeline construction works. In fact there are a range of in shore buoys available so we may not even have to set one up.

Team, forecast is still looking good so we'll call it a race for this Tuesday 9th Dec. We have a nice 20-30knt NE'r

Same time as usual, 5pm for first race and 6.30 for the second.

Great stuff, I just have to manage to get there in time. As we have enough daylight to sail till 8pm, could we start a little later than 5pm for all races coming? This would definetely benefit the majority of the Australian working and windsurfing population.

Anyway, I will be there but might miss out on the first race.

Martin, that's why we have the 6.30 race, for the poor buggers that have to work. If it's anything like the last 20-30NE race most were knackered after 3 or 4 heats.

Thanks Des. It is encouraging to see that no one is supporting me on that issue. I must be the only working windsurfer out there

Martin,
I agree with you, work does get in the way of what really matters! I find getting there for the 5.30 race is a bit of a race in itself! With the few days notice I work a bit longer on the days leading up to the race, but I realise that isn't possible for everyone.

Des, do you want names prior to the race or just give them to the person with the clipboard on the beach? See you this afo

Giles, just check in when you arrive. I'll probably be the man with the clipboard (my helper is busy today). I have most of the names on the form so its just a matter of ticking the name.

Maybe we could turn this into a charity race event so you can give your employers a compelling reason to leave early.

The forecast is showing a a build in strength towards the evening so hopefully it will hang in there. But as usual I'll be there by about 2pm to make sure everything is in order and so I can pre-test the conditions for the employed competitors.
