I spent a lot of time in the water there last Saturday & Sunday.
Only saw lots of dolphins. (You don't see the bightey types!)

Hope she is OK & recovers.

Does it make you nervous about racing there? At least on formula gear you don't have to waterstart!

Latest news is that they saved her left arm and that she is in good spirits. Bad luck she was bitten but good about her arm.

Wishing her all the best for a speedy recovery.

latest pics in the telegraph show a silhouette of a large noah stating it was sighted off Jimmy's Beach. Sure its at Hawks Nest but even in the strongest wind at Jimmy's Ive never seen a surf shorebreak so obviously it was taken around at Bennett's beach.
Sometimes newspaper people should do a little research first
Gotta love sensationalist journalism.

great to hear she's doing well!!!!

I'm glad her left arm isn't in good spirits.

It's a Friday joke. Sorry.

This is a list of every shark attack recorded to a windsurfer.
The 2 attacks in Australia were Fatal.

I remeber both those deaths on the news both very tragic. Although the deaths are listed as Fatal Shark Attacks, no Bodies were ever recovered nor were there any eyewitness accounts. They could have quite as easily have drowned after being knocked out and the bodies scavanged by the sharks - thats what they do.
The media loves to manipulate news/statistics to make it more exciting, like the guy who got bitten by a man eater (wobbegong) on the Northern beaches.

Glad to hear the Woman is doing well.

Yes media reporting leaves a lot to be desired. A man was bitten on the leg at Avoca Beach early last year by a wobbegong shark while he was body surfing. Media reports said "Man attacked by shark while surfing". Turns out he trod on it while wading near the rocks so I guess it bit him on the leg to let him know it was there and did not like being trod on. He probably did not see it as it has good camouflage. Moral of the story is never let the truth get in the way of a good story.
