Well who wouldve seen that comin
At least it wasnt an inocent kid swimmer. At least now youd imagine theyd be banned or at least policed
I wonder it was a black jetski, saw one rip past today with the driver having his head down as he was going so fast, would have been about 3. Put a massive wake in front of a probably 10 year old boy learning to windsurf.
Today just in front of the beach I've seen 2 guys doing wheelies and both fell off the jet ski and had to swim to get back on
Certainly hope that incidents like this will heighten awareness of how dangerous these things really are.
I was at that exact beach all day, watching Jet Skis tear up the channel.
I think it is a shame that another person had to die to demonstrate how out of control the jet skis are on Botany Bay.
It is like the wild west on the water, and there is "no" way to police it.
Maybe now the water police will take this issue more seriously and make sure they have a higher presence on those busy days. It could be one of us killed by a jetski if things keep going as they are.
It is so sad. Yesterday was my first day on water in Botany Bay and now after reading all the comments and becoming aware that jet skis are posing a threat to windsurfers I start to freak out

And yesterday was an extremely quiet day in terms of jet ski numbers

Hope they never come up our way!

you wont have to worry sue you don't have a captive audience like botany
