6th of feb at the end of my day
I decided i was overpowered and that it was time to go in, aimed well below the sharknets where my gear was, screaming in, i noticed a jetski going flat out perpendicular to me. I thought, hmm, i hope he gives way to me. They went right in front of me before pulling up to my right, as i flew past they floored it knocking me off. The two guys hung about for a moment to see my reaction, ( of which i gave them none, but a simple "well what was that for? f**k you im a better person, shrug). They gave me the thumbs up and headed off to harass some more guys.
I had a jetski stop right beside me one other time on that day but not knock me off.
Anyone else had this happen to them?
I was run down many years ago and my only regret was not reporting it to the police....I watched a father with his wife on the back, scream into the beach and spray his 2 very young children who were sitting in the water up to they waists. He was missing them by about 30cm...The kids were loving it, we were all horrified.
The Maritime did show up after it was reported, but what can they do?
Iv'e noticed they travel in packs of 3-5 ski's now days...not sure why?
Last time i spoke to the Maritime about it, they said to keep the complaints coming as it is the only way they can build any sort of case.
I get the feeling nothing will happen until someone is killed...and lets not kids ourselves, that day will come...So much power, so little responsibility.
Yes i was going to report it, however i just brushed it off and kept sailing. Consequently i forgot which jetski it was.
What has happened to the msb and water police? When we were kids innocently free boarding in the tinny they were are arch nemesis. They would hide behind boats ect and stalk us then when given the excuse pull us over and slap us with as many fines as their fat little finger could write.
I've sailed Kyeemagh dozens of times now. You do not have a jet ski/boat problem. Yet.

You'd be shocked if you saw where I used to sail on the Gold Coast. You have to be constantly alert for speed boats, jet boats, cruisers, house boats, and packs of tourists on jet skis. It's sometimes insane.
Low resolution image but you can see the whitewash:
