Just wondering if anyone out there knows if Menindee Lakes is any good for windsurfing. Going camping and fishing there in September and would like to go windsurfing. I am approaching intermediate stage and will be camped on lake so it would be a good opportunity to get out everyday and get some skills up. Can beach start, use harness and footstraps. I want to move onto my smaller board and learn to waterstart while away. Thanks.

lake Menindee is far west NSW. Very remote. Probably closer to Melbourne and Adelaide. Might pay to post in their forums.

Might be better to post in the farmers forum or the bird watches forum

I lived in Broken Hill for 20 years, 80 kls west of the lakes. Water skied there heaps but apart from the occasional dust storm I would say not at all suitable for windsurfing.
