Hello
I came from Japan for starting my new life here in Sydney.
5 years have been passed since I started to play windsurfing.
My home beach should be Wanda Beach, Kurnell and Dolls Point and if possible, I would like to find the place where my gears can be stored with not so expensive monthly fees.
If anyone would kindly have any suggestions about the place like that, please let me have sincre support.
Thank you so much for your advise, in advance.
From Japan
Do you have a car? Do you have a place to live? If you do I suggest you keep your gear at your house. Then put it in the car when you want to play windsurf. Nowhere to store gear that I've heard of.
Dear Dan
Thank you for your reply and my answers are all "yes" to your questions.
I just began to understand the normal sense to play windsurfing here in Australia.
Dear XXXXXXX
Because I just arrived at Australia just 2 weeks before, I do not have any friends, who klindly does with me and I know it is not good to play windsurfing all alone. Since if the gear trouble would happen, I may need the help from the friends to get support to survive.
In Australia, how do you survive when the gear trouble may happen ? Is it possible to ask for help from the people who may play near from me, even if they do not know me well ??
Hello Mr Japan
We are all very approachable in Australia. If you see a sailor then come have a chat. If you get stuck and the sharks dont get you (only joking) put up your hand and hopefully someone will come and grab you, however we have all paddled in to shore before. Just try and sail in safe places. Narrabeen lakes is good in the westerlys and NEs. And is very very safe.
Good Luck
Dear Mauiboy
Thank you for your reply.
The lake you mentioned sounds good and I already got the information about the lake, just 1 week ago, when I visited at the shop near from Colloroy Beach.
If I could fortunatelly see the windsurfers at Wanda Beach, Kurnell, Dolls Point, SW side of the Sydney Intl Airport, I would try to have a chat with them. Hopefully, some friendship will appear to me and it makes my life more enjoyable....
Thank you so much indeed.

Dear Dan Berry
Thank you so much for your advise, but only the weekend, I can surf. In addition, my gears are still on the ship from Japan to Sydney. It takes at least 3 more weeks to get those. Once I got the one, please let me have your sincere advise again ? I really need your help...
On this Saturday there should be lots of people windsurfing at Kyeemagh on Botany Bay.
Go to Bestic St & the Grand Parade & see for yourself.
It will give you a start on what happens here. ![]()
Dear Mr.Wineman
Thanks for your comment. As you recommended, the beach in Botany bay sounds good, since the other guy may be dan berry also suggested it as a fun beach for surf. I will come to the beach, when I got my gears from the ship. Regardress I got the gears, it may be better to come there what will happen.
Dear Mobydisc
Thanks for your comment.
Unfortunatelly, I came here in Sydney just 2 weeks ago and I have not brought so much money with me from Japan, it may be not possible to buy a car. In addition, before 3 month proviation term completion, I learned it may be also not possible to ask the loan from the bank. So at least 3 month from now on, I should hire a car to come to the Beach in Botany bay. I should be patient for all of inconvenient situation, since I am just a foreiner for Australia. But if I could be one of your friends who can play surf together with guys like you kind men, it shall be really appreciated very much indeed.

Dear Sick_men_rex
Foreshore Drive is the beach near from Botany Bay?
Since I may not know the area very much, could you please let me know where it is ?
Not only you, but also others are pretty much kind to the brand new person, like me. I really appreciate your sincere support....
fromJapan
Dear Wineman
Thank you so much for your advise.
As some of you kindly recommended, I went to Kyeemagh, today.
As the forecast was good, many windsurfers were there and some of them were looking for gare force wind from NE. At the beach, I was so luckey, since many surfers were pretty much kind to me and an Italian windsurfer has kindly rent a weatsuit and harness to me and a Japanese surfer also has kindly supported me to windsurf. In virtue of many help from many kindly windsurfers, Today could be unforgetable day for me and also the first day to surf in Syndney. Many of friendly windsurfers like you, Wineman , I met with today.....

Glad you enjoyed your day - especially having a sail.
We love to help, but be wary of our sense of humour - it will take a lot of getting used to.![]()
