Can anyone please give us some sort of idea where are good places to windsurf in varying wind directions and where people go on these days around the Newcastle/ Port Stephens area.
Cheers

Hi Murray,
If you live in the Terrace, probably the best option in most wind directions is to go north up to Jimmy's Beach at Hawks Nest. The summer nor-easters are great up there along the sand spit although its cross offshore so if you're still a beginner, better to go further down the beach to Winda Woppa.
A similar distance to the south is Lake Macquarie which has good spots either side.
Marmong Point, Coal Point, Valentine and Belmont Bay will usually have a few people out sailing when the wind is up. Marmong has Formula racing every Saturday at 1:30pm if you want to check that out.
Cheers
James
