Unfortunately the extreme weather this Saturday has forced the rescheduling of Heat1.
A replacement date will be announced asap.
On a more positive note:
The foil Nationals will be December 13-15 on Sydney Harbour.
More details as they come to hand....

Heat 2 is scheduled for tomorrow I believe, however can someone please confirm this or if it will be moved to Sunday?

There is NO formula/foil event this Saturday on Lake Mac.
We have been scrambling to get everything (re)setup for the season - documentation, licences, registration, websites, etc - almost there! Hopefully later today we will publish/relaunch the NSW Formula/Foil Series.
Again sorry for the confusion with the failed first attempt to get things going for the season.

If anyone still wants to race tomorrow we will still be running our normal formula/foil club racing at Marmong. 1:30pm onwards, wind permitting.
Ok guys, still having a few setup issues. however the first round is as follows;
Date : 3rd November (this Saturday)
Location: Ramsgate Beach, Botany Bay
Registration: 10:30am
Briefing: 11:am
First possible race: 12:00
Maximum of 5 races.
Formula and foil race together. Free Formula & Free Foil sail sail 1 lap.
Entry fee : $30 for single day regatta, $50 for a 2-day regatta or $140 for the series (4 rounds including States)
On-line NOR & series registration coming soon (I hope).
Note that a helmet is required for foiling this season.

Fees go direct to WNSW bank account. This is the first time we have used this software so there may be a few things that are not quite right - please feedback to Brett or me any issues.

Sounds like a great series guys and I am well aware of the amount of work and organisation required to get it off the ground.For next season is it possible to avoid clashing with the race board series.A few of us are keen to race both but had already committed to the RB dates.Once again I don't want to detract from everyone's efforts in getting this off the ground.I will endeavour to get any of the dates that I can

PS the Sunday of Heat 2 (NSW States) clashed because it is part of the Kurnell event with all classes....especially the BIC kids going...

So a cruisy morning followed by some sweet racing....See you all there.

A wind that didn't deliver caused only one race to be completed on Saturday on Botany Bay.
A mixture of foil and formula sailors sat around in the morning waiting for the westerly wind to swing to the forecast ESE in warm sunny conditions, which it did by about 1pm. Chris Wood & Grae Morris were first out on the sparkling waters but only just getting going after drifting around for half an hour. The wind eventually looked good enough to attempt a race but it all spluttered to nothing, even though a few sailors got around the top mark for the first time.
It looked like we were going to pack up and go home when the wind came in a bit more consistently, probably with a touch of north in it. So Belly got another race away and Chris Wood established an early lead on his modified JP board and modified NP F4 foil , never to be really threatened, taking an easy win followed by Glen Morrell on his new SB Foil 177 board, and Steve Walsh on his Fanatic/Dutone combo. Brett Morris lead the formula boards in followed by Rick Murray. Full results will be posted on the Regatta Toolbox site ASAP.

The next foil regatta is the Oceanic/Nats on Dec 13-15th at WSC and the next formula regatta is at Kurnell in February.
