The Belmont 16ft Sailing Club and the ‘The Slips’ location has a regatta on Saturday and so in the interests of avoiding the traffic & coupled with a favourable strong nor-ester forecast this Saturday, we’ve decided to run the heat out of Marmong Point Sailing Club.

Try going a bit faster Bruce most of the guys traveling at over 12 knots don't have trouble with weed.

Now now Bruce and Muz, as we all know, sailing is a Gentleman's sport!![]()
On a serious note, yes it should be very good indeed. Looking forward to it. There should be a few of us Sydney siders traveling up this Saturday.
I have the yellow trailer in tow with all the kit and so will be there early to liaise with you guys.![]()

Marmong........ I will give it a miss.
That's a shame AUS-4, especially considering you're running 4th in the Series. With n + 2 Did Not Compete (at Heat) you unfortunately won't be after the wk end![]()

Don't have to worry about weed at Marmong. Lately its been big blue jellyfish.
Many thanks to all who attended today at Marmong for Heat#5 of the Formula Series. Unfortunately 'Hughie' didn't play ball and we were not able to get a result, but not for the lack of trying! Just after 2pm a course was set in a very marginal Norester that looked to be building, but with only a few sailors able to get around for a single lap(nice work, Justin Lord, Tibor, Dave Howe, Barry, Nathan & Brett I believe), however in a fast fading breeze, the race was abandoned and we all called it a day.(just after 3pm).
Special thanks of course must go to our race officials Mick and Byron, James and the Marmong crew for organising the boat. Particular mention also to one AUS-4, for making the journey, putting prejudice aside and supporting windsurf course racing in NSW. A super effort which didn't go unnoticed and it didn't leave a dry eye in the house!
Updated and revised NSW Formula Series placings to follow, and don't forget about Heat#4 of the GPS/Slalom on Lake Macquarie next wk end. Details in the coming days.
Murphy's Law....endless days of High winds leading up to race day, then plop..... The 20knot NE never developed, so no racing could be completed.
Still great to have a catch up and get a bit excited about the FW Nationals that will be happen just around the corner 5-7Feb.
Thanks to the Race organisers for trying hard to get some racing in..Much appreciated.
See you at Georges River Sailing Club (Sydney) 31Jan for Heat6.
