This could be a hard core start for first of Sydney NE'rs. My unused windsurfing muscles will have a melt down..

Forecast for Saturday
Winds: Northeasterly 20 to 25 knots tending north to northeasterly 25 to 35 knots during the morning. Seas: 1.5 to 2 metres increasing to 2 to 3 metres during the morning then increasing to 4 metres during the afternoon. Swell: Southeasterly about 2 metres tending easterly 1.5 metres during the evening.

Lets not talk it up too much lads. A lot can happen weatherwise in two days.

This Saturday is the longboard day at Dobroyd. Whats that place like in a NE breeze?

been working way too much and eating my through the local Franklin's supply of choc chip cookies so have packed on the kilos. definitely need to get in a bit of shape for summer. might be able to get away for a very quick session at Corrimal but Gerroa is definitely due to family duties on Saturday. otherwise might try Wanda or Botany.

Jaime,

I'm definately planning on heading down South. Plan is to get up early and mission it down. Let me know where you intend to sail.

Local report and forecast for Gerroa will go up first thing tomorrow morning...

... at the moment we have 4 to 5 foot with plenty of waves breaking at the inside bomby. It should be a pretty sizeable wave tomorrow. The only show stopper could be the wind. It's forecast to be NNE... possibly too much North in it for Gerroa.

If it was a bit later on in the season i'd say it would be NE 99.5% as Gerroa can often turn a NW'r into a NE'r however the land mass isn't that hot yet so who knows. That said it may still happen, the geological marvel that is the land around Gerroa works in wondrous ways.

I think the major factor down here is Saddleback Mountain the NW and the basin North of Nowra. That said, I think you are right in that it needs to sunny conditions to work properly. RE tomorrow I guess we will see.

Hi Jon,

Paul and I are heading down 7.00am, see you down there.
Give us a call, might go to w/gong if there's too much north in it.
