We are nearly back to lake like conditions. There are the odd 2 to 3 foot waves coming in but mostly it's flat. Wind is currently NE with about 2 knts but that should improve throughout the day.
At the moment there is a very slim chance the NEer will have filled in enough by about lunch time to allow for a quick sail. That should die off pretty quickly though. The sun is out at the moment but there are clouds all around so I am guess it will shut down eventually.
All up not really worth driving down for from Sydney.
There is a glimmer of hope for tomorrow. With a bit of luck we should see some favourable conditions for Port Kembla tomorrow from early afternoon onwards. Unfortunately though the Westerly wind direction will probably flatten the little swell we have left.
There is also still a very slight chance we might see some sailable conditions for the NSWWA comp this weekend. My pick for Saturday would be Windang mid morning.
10:30 am Update:
Wind is about 5 to 10 knts from the NE now. There are white caps out in the middle of the bay. I guessing by 11:30 there might be enough wind to actually get out for a sail.
