Someone once said to me it doesn't really get that windy in Australia. Well proved them wrong. It's solid 60 knts this morning with gusts well above 70.

Waves are 4 to 5 meters from the NE. Not that it really matters. No way anyone could sail in this at the moment.

Power is out and the roof on house behind us looks like it's about to go so I have to make this brief. More pics and video hopefully coming a bit later in the day when the power is back on. Here a few shots from Gerroa and the headland:

Hey Tom. Looks right up your alley. 5.4 maybe? Is that last pic on the other side of the headland?

yeah... through i'd go 4.7 and the 100 liter board.

last shot is the northern side of the headland. I got a ton more photos and some videos I'll upload in high res once I get the power thing sorted... assuming the house is still standing.

Certainly the windiest I have seen since South of France... dang shouldn't have sold that 2.7 meter sail.

Rose Bay in Sydney was a leisurely 20 knts only gusting to 40. About a half a dozen out at about 10am. My small sail is old and inefficient, it did not seem to matter much..
