Plenty of ocean mist/ fog about this morning. It's only now starting to clear up (10am). I am still expecting that we will see about 15 knts this afternoon. Waves are pretty much none existent (see photo of SUP guy below). Put that could improve a little bit with the tide.
Not sure about that Southerly tomorrow. Looks to be a bit all over the place but it should bring a bit of wind swell.
More Nor'Easters over the weekend probably with lake like sailing conditions.
Steh - you don't want the webcam to end up like Coastalwatch's North Narra cam, ie; smashed-repaired-smashed-repaired-removed. There are a few more surf psycho's in Sydney although Gerroa can get crowded with all sorts of craft and end up v frustrating. The anticipation driving from Sydney is all part of the experience! You don't want to revive too many back into windsurfing. I do like your regular updates though.
quick update (6:35pm): I think we had the first proper Seabreeze this afternoon. It wasn't very strong but had all the signs... cloud cover at Saddleback mountain, Nor'Easter direction, wind getting continuously stronger throughout the day.
I am guessing there just wasn't enough heat over the land further South yet for it to fully kick in.
A few brave souls went out in near planing and almost flat conditions.
Let's see what tomorrow's Southerly will bring... Seabreeze should return Saturday.
