Well, that didn't happen. Good surf but very little wind was the verdict yesterday. Surf actually got better and better the later it got. There still is a bit around this morning and BOM is calling for 20 - 25 knt Nor'Easter. Given their forecasting track record from the past three days I wouldn't hold my breath.
Maybe this afternoon but I doubt it. Wind currently is 1 - 2 knts from nowhere and everywhere. I say bring on the real Seabreeze. Getting very tired of these unpredictable systems.

update 1:15pm: WTF! Just got back from Nowra... 4 to 5 foot, 20 to 25 knts and sunny. Way to go BOM
Looks like you scored at Gerroa. Bellambi was reading 25k but that always seems to over-read the strength, particularly NE. Typical 15k here in Sydney but trying to be windy. I'm surprised by the swell at Gerroa given it's meant to be ENE direction.
yeah... swell was pretty consistently awesome! I got 1 1/2 hrs from 2 till 3:30 in 20 - 25 knts with 4 to 6 foot... maxed out on a 5.4 in gusts... 5 bottom turns and cut backs on the good waves, plenty of people with wide grins on their faces. Great start to the season! Just a bummer I didn't pick this one... maybe the trick from here on in is to downplay the forecast and skip taking the photos...
