Hi folks. It's been a while. Work recently got the better of me hence the lack of updates.

For those of you thinking about driving down today: In a nutshell don't bother unless you want to sail the heads.

The swell is pretty much none existent. I spend a good 15 minutes at the beach waiting for those bomb sets to come in but the photos below is the best I could get. IIt's knee high beach slop. I don't expect this to really improve throughout the day.

Wind is a different story. The first puffs of a Nor'Easter are there and I am guessing we will see about 20 to 25 knts by lunch time. If those pesky thunderstorms out in the valley stay away. There is quite a bit of moisture in the air (you can see it in the poor light conditions in the photos) and I wouldn't be surprised if we'd see a bit of storm activity this afternoon.

Looking further ahead early next week could bring a Southerly followed by a light Nor'Easter against a moderate Southerly swell the next day. It's early days and the BOM and NOAA models differ slightly. Here is hoping.

Good to see a forecast Stehsegler although the whole east coast looks like lacking wind for a few days. I'm off work this week (no wind) then back Monday with a 20-25 knot westerly forecast. Sound familiar?

You did miss a few days a few weeks back - 20 knots plus down your way, not much surf was some consellation. I think Wanda was OK one of those days but I couldn't make it.

I went down after work (got there about 6) and sailed for 2 hours in 20-25kts by myself. Absolutely no swell but perfect for freestyle and as such I was trying an assortment of things that generally failed

Sadly had to wrap up some photography for a client which meant I was deskbound for most of the day. I did get to look at it all day thought :-) .

Wind was about 20 - 25 knts with zero swell. Drove up to Shellharbour in the afternoon and strangely there was almost no wind once you got around to Kiama.

Net week is still looking good. Strange Westerly on Monday which could possibly come in as a Southwester in Gerroa. At the moment it would say Tuesday is my pick! Swell should be up and wind will be in the 15 knt range.
