Regular Saturday racing for Formula Windsurfing Class at Balmoral SC
At their July meeting, the Board of the Balmoral Sailing Club voted unanimously to accept Formula Windsurfers as a sponsored class!
This means there will be regular Saturday Club racing for Formula Windsurfers this season (2015-16) at Balmoral SC, beginning with the Spring Sprint Series on 12 Sep and point scoring starting on 10 Oct.
What do you need to do to get involved?
Simple, three things:
1. Join the Balmoral Sailing Club.
2. Make sure you and your windsurfer are covered by 3rd party property insurance. The easiest way to do this is by joining Storm-Riders Windsurfing Club (or another AWA affiliated windsurfing club) as membership includes 3rd party cover.
3. Turn up! 12:45pm for race briefings (1 hour earlier for the Sprint Series) and 10:45am for Duty Class (once every 6 weeks or so).

Membership forms for Balmoral SC are available on their website: www.balmoralsc.com.au
Other classes of Windsurfer are also welcome to sail at Balmoral SC as part of the Open Fleet. Again, you MUST have the appropriate insurance cover, so make sure your Windsurfing Club membership is current. And obviously you will need to join Balmoral SC.

Storm-riders will be holding our 2015 AGM at Balmoral SC on Wednesday 19 August at 6:30pm, so if you are interested in Formula Windsurfing come on down, meet some like-minded folk and check out the Balmoral Club.
Storm-riders also offers club racing at Georges River, so you can race regularly at a club that's geographically convenient to you!
