First for the season or last of the season???

not a real seabreeze (if it was the northern beaches would only have 5 knots), frontal winds i thinks.... wind is wind though.

no surf today unfortunately.

Had a look at Wanda, dead flat and quite offshore and light.
Couple of kites on the bay, probably 12-15 knots at best

Went out on Lake Macquarie.More NNE started out glassy with 18kt gusts as I rigged then 5 kts and occasional 12kt puffs with sloppy chop when I was out.. Ugh..Still it was warm for once and I didn't fall in..I also figured out the reason why I sometimes stop turning half way through a gybe in those conditions..downwind foot too near the centreline.. At least it was calm enough to check..
Norah head was saying 20kt+ most of the day!?

Robbed up here. Headed to Trail Bay at 1pm, it was n-e and max 4 knots. Waited for it to build (was spose to crank in at 20 knts just after lunch), got bored, went home. Wind finally came in (14-18 knts) at 4 pm- then had to go to work....grrrrr

Solid n-e now (10.30 pm), so hoping it will hang around and give me a shot in the morning. Time will tell...

stehsegler, I must say it has been cr.p wind for a while in Sydney. I had an eye operation and was out of action for 2 weeks but alas no wind anyway.

didn't you get your full in Maui recently?

I learnt how to sail near the scout shed at Wangi..not many boats moored there in 84.
For usual summer NE it gets less wind than Coal Point Ne but it's safer angle for learning + rolling waves rather than chop & flat spot to gybe over the other side.

yup... had everything from flat water to waves and no wind to 40knts+ . Not too many people there either which was good. Had some medical issues though and ended up in hospital twice... yes, you can make it from Haiku to Wailuku in the back of an ambulance in just under 15 minutes. Had to sit out the last week and missed out on some fun days in Oahu as well. Overall still a good trip though.

Best place to launch is Arcadia Vale park. NE is straight onshore, nice grassy park with toilets and plenty of parking. Sandy bottom launch. I generally rig and sail from their over summer, along with a bunch of other guys. I then generally sail up the lake a little depending on the wind strength. Wangi Point is good, however be prepared to cut your feet on the rocks.

I wouldn't mind heading up to some spots around Lake Mac this summer. However I'm a bit worried about the reports of sharks there plus the razor fish.

Been sailing on the lake over the last 3 & 1/2 years and never seen a shark or stepped on a razor fish.

A year or so ago I saw a large bullshark go past 100m in front of me past Valentine one day.Went back to shore and waited for it to head on. Went back out outhaul pinged undone so i sat in the water for 10mins to fix it then fell off heaps ( new board ) & waterstarted lots kicking my legs around.. still here..Mind you i was hoping he didn't come back past..
Haven't seen any since..
