I checked the forecast, on both seabreeze and BOM. NE'r weakening throughout the day.
**** I'm dumb.
We all know that just doesn't happen. Ever. So I packed the car with everything for a picnic in the national park, to be alerted on the way that the car parks were already full, so I renavigated to Cronulla, no make that Kurnell. It being Australia Day weekend let's take the family to see where Cook landed a few years before. Interesting and all.
So I'm there at Kurnell watching it blow a perfect 20 knot NE'r all afternoon. And I didn't pack my gear because dumb forecast. I should've listened to myself.
Aaaah **** it. Kurnell is an awesome place and I'll be back for sure. Sandy beach, shaaaaade for the mrs, rock ledges for the kids to snorkel around, rocks for the kids to find starfish on, perfect angle for windsurfing and the windiest place in town.
5/5 will be back for sure. I've found our place. ![]()
Apologies. I post drunk late at night too often. Thankfully mostly about stuff I like, not dislike. Still, I go on a bit sometimes : \
Here's a time lapse I took on Sunday. We went back the next day as it was stinking hot and we had nothing better to do. Kids love it.
