I thought it'd be a putt out and ride a few okay waves and say "I sailed a NE in August" but it was just enough to plane from 4pm till after sunset and a nice shoulder high south swell. Just me and one kiter. Anyone else sail in the surf?
Got out in the Gong. Made the mistake of not checking the surf and took my freestyle board though so missed some pretty nice waves. Still well powered from 4-5pm, bring on the big ones 
Yeah there was a sailable one on the 21st, not quite as strong as yesterday and the waves were no good.
