This weekend at Valentine, Lake Macquarie

Saturdays racing counts towards the series, with prizegiving Saturday evening. Plenty of podium places up for grabs still. Will Timmy Ford beat Barry Fawkes to take the FE+ crown this year?? All will be revealed this weekend.

On Sunday the plan to to do a marathon race around Pulbah Island, it has been a full week since some guys have done a maratihon event so it will be doubly interesting ;-)

Go for it Tim!

If Tim wins FE+, does that mean he has to go up & play with the big boys next year?

It certainly does. He will be 2 lap Timmy next season. Actually, even if he comes second he will still be pushed. ;-)

you will have to put much effort in to the push JB, I'm heavier and built much closer to the ground than you nowadays!
Division One Barry, 2 laps for you! D1 Barry!!!

Does that mean the last place 2-lapper drops back to FE+, or is it a one way street?

I reckon that because its so close that Tim and Bazza go up a division!

Dave, you are running treacherously close to being promoted too
the less you say teh better.

Actually I think Tim and his band of merry men are all resigned to doing 2 laps next season anyway, and I can say firsthand that they are more then capable of making the jump. It will be hard but Tim, Ads and Katapult like to play up on the big occasions.

Being promoted is usually a one way street Shear Tip, but in reality FE+ is open to all comers. Tim & Co are looking for additional challenges next season so they will promote themselves. It is purely personal choice as to what field you compete with. If Tim decided to stay in FE+ next season there would be no issue, just as if Sam Parker decided to sail one lap next season he will be welcomed with open arms too.

Shear Tip, Yes as JayBee was saying, I'm heading up to two laps next year despite not winning too many races in FE+. I'm doing so mainly because I want to meet the challenges of doing the extra transitions and to have more time on the course. There are however more people coming into the FE+ devision, so still plenty of competition there. Be good to see you out on the course again though?
