Not a bad way to kick start the season? A cool little initiative by our Kite racing friends which could be very interesting indeed!

Fastest on the Bay Sydney Kite Racing Club in conjunction with Georges River Sailing Club would like to invite you to attend this special event ‘The Fastest on the Bay’.

The event will be held on Saturday the 24th September at GRSC with the invited classes being Foiling moths, Foiling kiteboards, Formula windsurfers and 18ft skiffs. Who will be the fastest?

Entry is 10$ via www.regattatoolbox.com/eventDetails?eventID=plqYNTH5T9

Race and Sailing instructions will be available shortly and will be emailed and uploaded to the regatta toolbox entry page.

For any questions please contact Jeremy on 0423 826 919 or sydkiteracingclub@gmail.com

This is a great idea.

There is the same in San Francisco. From memory the fastest class of boat on the day depends on wind strength and direction (kites can sail deep).

No slalom gear allowed?

Not sure if we will have strong wind on Saturday. I think strong wind gives the windsurfers best chance.
I am watching the forecast and hoping

Good luck with the wind that's some very tough competition you guys have there. Hopefully it will get windy and rough enough that the kites and moths start having stacks. If it's light to medium I think the kites will win with daylight second but if you get wind you might be able to roll them. The problem is those 18 footers. like most masthead kite skiffs they get so low downwind they don't need to be very fast to roll you. Good luck fellas I hope you belt the lot of them.

Online registration is working but no need to pay online. I'm assuming the $10 fee will be taken on the day. Wish i could be there. Good luck to all.
