Hey everyone I'm looking to get into windsurfing especially on the afternoons that are to windy to take my paddleboard out. Are there any places in nsw that provide demos boards to try before you buy ?

I am an absolute sailboarding beginner but I have been paddle boarding for close to a year, most on flat with a little chop.

Hi Whitewash, if you're anywhere near Newcastle you're welcome to come along to Marmong Point Sailing Club from 1:30pm on a Saturday. We have a large Starboard Start board and beginner rig that you're welcome to try. If your paddle board has a mast base attachment you're welcome to try our rig on it.

Cheers
James

Thanks for the offer mate but I'm based in the Shellharbour area so Newy would be a bit too much of a hike. Thanks again though.

Welcome to the sport Whitewash

I have been been in the sport for about 18 months now and started just like you on a sup board. Learnt the basics tried various gear until I came across the starboard rio long tail and my learning curve increased exponentially. What a great board to learn on and it paddles well too.

What a great sport windsurfing is, well worth the effort.
Have fun

Cheers
Morgan
