I received a flyer in my letter box from Transport for NSW regarding the completion of the Kamay Ferry Wharves. Works were completed this week and it was opened for public access and use on the 27th of February. The good news is that windsurfers have official approval to launch off the wharf (see screensot below).

The end of the wharf has a section that slopes into the water which will make launching and recovery extremely user freindly, and its location looks to be perfect for launching Northerly or Nor Westerly winds. I'm looking forward to launching off it once the winter / spring Northerlies arrive.
Looks like it will still be a good spot to sail westerlies for most people, avoiding the long drive to Kurnell
