Hey there, Novice windsurfer from VIC; I am interested in getting my brother into windsurfing, simply because he should and doesn't know what he is missing out on.
Are there any come try days held in Sydney? Botany bay etc? I can lead him to water, but can't make him drink until I know where the water is. Cheers.
Hey K dog, this sight may be useful.

I have a question for the NSW sailboarders aswell, when i roadtrip down to victoria, i plan to check out some of your local spots?
Reccomendations? I dont wanna stop at 5 different beachs with in 10kms of each other, just the best ones :D
Cheers
EDIT; im more of a freestyle/b&j sailer
Scully,
On the way through you may want to check out Gerroa(waves), Jarvis bay(B&J), Sanctuary Point(Flatwater Blasting, B&J) and Broulee(B&J). These are all in a short distance of each other, but the best I know of down my way, My exploration of the east coast is limited...But i've not had to look past these. Sadly I've been to more beaches on the west coast then around where I actually live.
I've only ever sailed the beaches in NE wind, Which they work a treat....But Sanctuary point(St Georges Basin) works In NE, S and West.
Enjoy the road trip, I hope to hit Vic myself someday soon.
Thanks for that, i just need some descent wind to show the true colours of nsw spots. Ill have to look at a map and see if ACT is far out of the way aswell.
money is the other big problem aswell haha, im trying to sell my gear to get down there in the first place :P
