With the October long wk end just around the corner, time to join your respective clubs and pay for the seasons' racing. Lots on over the summer months ahead and savings to be had, so do us organisers a big favour, pay for the lot so we don't have to get our hands dirty handling the cash!

Hey guys, is there going to be some info released RE timings, location for rigging etc for us first timers.
Regards Steve
Not official, but I intend being at Jimmy's Beach about 9.30am. That should be plenty early enough...Looks like we will have plenty of wind, even if it is west....Can't wait...
Hey Steve,
The details are all here (a bit tricky to find): http://www.stormriderswindsurfingclub.com/nsw-formula-windsurfing-series-201617.html
Looks like briefing is scheduled for 11am.
Rigging area is next to the Jimmys Beach caravan park.

Cheers
Just noticed that the Facebook site has reminded everyone to bring some small gear incase it is super windy, and they switch to an (unofficial) GPS format instead of course racing....

The NOR for the Raceboards says briefing at 10:30am, with first possible race at 11am. As the event is being run with the formula crew it makes sense to have a joint briefing at 11am with racing soon after this, however be prepared for the earlier times. We will let everyone know the times at the rigging area tomorrow.
Raceboard registration is from 10am - 10:30am.
Also note that the Sailing Instructions have been updated to version 2 , and incorporate some minor changes that we used at Lake Illawarra a few weeks ago. Go to www.raceboards.net.au and follow the menu to download the pdf document.
Looking forward to seeing you all this weekend
.
Just quickly. Best event in memory. Sunny, windy, excellent racing and great atmosphere. So good to see so many windsurfers dominating Jimmys beach. Big report and photos coming. Tks to race crew and organisers. Great job. ![]()
Preliminary results from the wk ends Formula Heat 1 of the NSW Series at Hawks Nest. No racing Saturday due to very strong westerly breeze.
Bit of a late start on the Sunday with a slow building Nester, but 4 races completed by afternoons end.
Great wk end had by all and fantastic racing in a mixed fleet with the Raceboards who got off 4 races also.
Please note second table is the open fleet. Will update with the event winners once race positions have been checked. Text me with any queries.

Uncle Bruce.........
You have had to resort to racing children, pensioners and novices to massage your delusions of windsurfing grandeur
Ben,
at least my decrepitude is not so far advanced that I don't sail at all. My delusions of course need no massaging, they are doing fine. And anyway, that junior burger beat me last season and Mick beat me in race 2. I would have had a good time fighting Nial for last place in 2 laps but sitting round watching them do the second lap seemed better. Of course if you wanted to make a come back I could be persuaded to carry your walking frame while you carry your sail down to the water.
Thanks for the offer re the walking frame Uncle Bruce.
Due to an unfortunate incident caused by my senility, I applied copious amounts of Grecian 2000 to the bearings on the walker which caused them to sieze.
My hair on the other hand, now resembles the bilge water of a coal ship and has its own energy index on the stock exchange.
Hence my sailing days at the arse end of the open fleet are not going to reoccur anytime soon.
