Hey, I'm holidaying in Byron bay for a week, having a great family trip, but the wind is blowing beautifully! Tempting me away from the screaming kids with sand in their ice creams... Does anyone know of anywhere I can hire some windsurfing gear around here? Google is drawing blanks.

side shore, easy & free parking, locals will be out.
I live in Byron for a summer many years ago... low and behold there was little wind.
Since then every time I have been there without windsurf gear it was windy as hell.
I'm on the GC on holiday at the moment, have had a look around for hire gear also.
SurfFX don't hire gear anymore sadly.
Surfconnect in Sandgate, Brisbane will, but I decided to give it a miss, due to older gear offered up.
There's a prehistoric Mistral on Ebuy for $60 pick up on Goldie, if your desperate.
