Hey guys, Tomorrow afternoon is looking ok to get out for a float and start re-learning. Looking at Google Earth there is a large parking area right up near the runway but you need to enter it heading south whereas I'll be heading north along Grand Parade so isn't an option unless there is somewhere close to turn around which there doesn't appear to be. Are there any other parking areas around I'm not seeing? I was hoping not to be too far down towards Ramsgate as I imagine the farther away from the runway the choppier it gets in an East/ Nor Easterly?

just keep heading north on grand parade
then before you go under runway there is a left turn....it goes under the road...and whalla now your heading south on grand parade. ....

Ok, thanks for that. So stay on the main drag which becomes General Holmes Drive and then there's a left turn just after Cooks River bridge before the Runway underpass?
One more question: If I decide to come down the M5 do I turn left at the same spot, or somewhere before that point?

Take the airport exit out of the M5. Stay in the right hand turn lane. Once on Botany rd travel along until you come to the first set of traffic lights which is Bestic st. Follow that down to General Holmes drive and turn left, less than a K up the road is the left hand turn you need to take to go under the road to come back to heading south.
