Hi folks,
My kit has finally turned up this morning and provided the boards are still all in one piece I'm hoping to get out at Botany this weekend. I've been in touch with Lee, is anyone else heading out there this weekend and if so where would be best to aim for?
Cheers guys,
Giles
HI Giles,
I'll probably head out to Kurnell or Sandringham, depending on the wind direction. Too much west, and I'll head down to Kurnell, if it's South-SW I'll head down to Sandringham, next to the St George Sailing Club.
There is a good thread in the archives on which areas are best in certain wind directions - but I can't find it. Must be over a year old.
This may be the one you are referring to Shear Tip

I'll hopefully see you guys out too. Somewhere.....
Im looking to get out both Sat and Sunday. ShearTip has it right. West = Kurnell, SSW = Sandringham.
Soon we'll be talking about NE seabreezes - possibly the end of next month. What a great time of year. We're enjoying the 20kt westerlies while anticipating the onset of spring and the beginning of the seabreeze season!![]()
Giles - come up & say hi, I'm in the blue mazda 6 wagon, katapult's in a white VW van. DavMen will be out one day this weekend too.
HI all, great news about your gear turning up today Giles. I had a little blast on the bay this afternoon. Hoping to get back on the water after work on sat, i have the beaten up old mistsu van so coe over and say hello.
Sunday will see the following at Kurnell
Kyeemagh is ok in Northerly. Its cross-offshore though which makes the water very flat if a little gusty.
Hope the forecast is accurate for the weekend. I've done all the necessary....got all work and chores out of the way and have told (I mean got permission) from the wife. Bring on the wind! Hope to see you guys somewhere in the bay,
Cheers,
Giles
Hi all,
According to the boating forecast there's 20-30 knots predicted for tomorrow in the bay. Any takers?
