Hi everyone, is the spot next to the runway of the airport where to go today for some windsurfing?
Simone
that area late afternoon probably has the best chance of wind.
The beureu have really messed up on thier forcasts last 2 days and we have had a late sea breeze both days that was never predicted.
If it turns ENE by about 12-1 pm then chances are it will be ok.
Today supped to be about 28 degrees which is hot enuf for the sea breeze to kick in.
generally Kurnell on the oher side is a bit stronger in a sea breeze but its a long hike to get there.
Yeah the seabreeze finally kicked in around 2pm or so. It was a bit patchy and not too strong but good for some cruisey windsurfing.
hey i had fun 19knots on a bombora 292 which all things considered wasnt to bad. But have to say the path to the beach is really startn to **** me its hard enough trying to get ur sail down with out people just bargin through & making me stand to the side with the sail over the fence wouldnt be so bad if i wasnt vertically challenged .The fence must go . How can we protest to council . Should i just steal a tractor & make my own path . I would like to find who designed it & kick them in the nuts .I would also like to know why you would build a desalination plant if you cant even put a tap in .To me that is the height of stupidity [:( I read on thse forums people from overseas get recomended to sail there as it is a good spot for sydeny tourist doesnt the council realise that this is the sort of thing that makes us look like a bunch of idiots. Or is it the fact that rockdale council are a bunch of incompeternt fools who have never even looked at what is happening there before constuction
I assume you made your comments through the formal process Council went through before any changes were made? You might want to note that almost no-one used that area until council and the desal contractor put in the carpark. The access at Brstic St remains unchanged. Just because you change location does not mean council need to provide facilities for you at the new location.
You can lobby the council for improvements through your local club or association. That way we give the appearence of an organized lobby group and not a disorganized rabble like jetskiiers.

There actually is a tap there. It is right at the very northern end of the carpark and strangely is up near the road. A weird location but there is one there nonetheless.
