well... today a 3.5 and a 70 liter board would have been better...

but on a serious note... we have already a few NE seabreezes followed by souther change. Not sure if you area here for work or leisure. Taking a board from the UK can be very expensive... so better check on that first.

windsurf and Snow up at Long Reef hire out gear. That might be a cheaper option. You can try them at wssboards.com.au/

A 100ltr board and a 6.5 is perfect for Botany Bay in October. Light summer seabreezes start to kick in, start of daylight savings time and gets a lot warmer.

The first week of October will be 12-15Kts, Northeasters, coming up at about 11am, not decreasing until sunset.
The water will be lovely, and the air temperatures will be in the early twenties.

Well - it had better be from the 5th to the 10th anyway.

There is no guarantee it will be windy and if it is windy it could be anything from 10 to 40 knots. So it may be better to hire some gear here if it is windy.

Not worth bringing your own gear for 10 days.

I'm sure you're not travelling just to go windsurfing.

10days - Some no wind days - some sight seeing - other stuff etc.

Just hire what you need when you need it.
