Seem to have missed out on good windang conditions this tuesday, was following point perpendicular live wind report and it showed below green. Any tips on which weather station to follow? Alternatively, just go with the forecast - although it's quite a drive....

Just look at Seabreeze. If they call for a S to SSW wind direction and there is swell from most direction you'll get something. If it goes SSW you can sometimes get a Venturi effect (think opposite positioning to hinterland as Gerroa) and a light SSW becomes a strong enough SSW. You can sometimes make an educated guess in regards to wind speeds by looking at Belambi Point and Kiama. Kiama though tends to always be a bit on the lighter side.
I've found Willyweather to be the most accurate with Southerlies and the live reading for Bombo (Kiama) is pretty accurate. If the sun is out then it'll kick in around 10ish, maybe a little later. If it's not sunny you can expect a pretty gusty session.
I've had several days where I've left Gerroa and it's nearly glassy but it's 20knots up there.
Also worth noting the tides run a bit behind there as the lake takes a while to turn around.
