weres belmont bay squids . and valentine u launch at the point/park with the boatramp?
Sorry bit late answering

Squids is at the caravan Park on a point that juts out into the lake south of Belmont Yacht club.Heaps of kiters go there as its really shallow. You park in the carpark near the caravan park boom gates & rig on the grass. It can be hard to get a park due to kiters. Its a pain as you have to walk the board/rig up to the end of the point which is 300m(?) + to be safe & avoid the shallows you need to work out a bit .The water is pretty flat until you get up near the yacht club end of a run so its great for speed + practising carve gybes. It gets pretty consistent W compared to the northern end of the lake.If you go out a bit further plenty of chop for jumps etc.It is muddy so if you do hit bottom you tend to shovel along and get a warning . Crap trying to beachstart though as the mud sucks your feet in so its hard to follow the board.
Re Valentine keep going past the boatramp & turn in the turning circle at the Green Point end then park. You rig on the grass and 50' to the water. Great in a SW ,S or rare N as sideshore so if you lose ground downwind you can just walk the board back along upwind in the shallows.Good for practising gybe runs down the shoreline & in a big S get big rollers out in the middle for jumps or surfing..

Ps - went out at Squids rigged a 4m & 95ltre board & not enough so hard work.Put a 5m on & hanging on in the gusts but still good.

aching all over last few days..
