Predicted by both BoM and seabreeze as 20-25knots in Sydney, but 3pm and 13 knots!!

Hopefully it is still coming... I am waiting to get in my car if it gets to 17!! :)

Yep, to save time I even went out to my van at lunch time and fitted the fin and mast base.... It's picking up now

Are you close to the water... is it good enough for a 6m yet?

Good luck with it. I was all prepared to go to Botany Bay as there is no wind on the north side but as I left work at 4pm there were big banks of clouds to the west. I don't like the chances of getting much wind by the time I'd get there.

I dropped the family at Nelson Bay around 3 and went and checked Jimmy's.
About 5 knots, frustrating to say the least. Got stuck in F3 accident on way home, too freakin' hot to be driving.
Lets hope tomorrow delivers.

NW winds.....

Palm Beach can be good but it depends on the tides and if its a strong southerly that comes through with no warning you could end up over at Umina.

So how was it a Botany today? I checked the graphs and the wind was all over the place. All in all its been a pretty ordinary January for wind.

Looks like the southerly hit Montague Island at 9am, 30 knots.

Was not much good... got about half an hour in with gusty NE. Got a few good runs in, and then the storm came through, and nothing after that.

NW has always been dissappointment for me, so I will give today a miss.

The southerly is looking good. It hit Gerroa around 1pm at around 30 knots.

At the very least it will cool us all down.

I was down at Gerroa when it hit. It was incredible, one minute it was blowing NW and the water was flat as a tack, and calm blue. The next minute it swung 180 deg, the water was whipped up into white cap madness and it BLEW. So cool to see mother nature going bonkers like that!
